About

Kiyoshy Nakamura

Research Associate at the University of Luxembourg.

I am an R&T Scientist at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg, where I work on developing intelligent systems that connect data, communication, and decision-making.

My research focuses on IoT, Smart Cities, physical AI, robotics, and edge computing, with the goal of building solutions that work reliably in real-world environments. I am particularly interested in systems that collect, transmit, and analyze data efficiently in dynamic and challenging conditions.

Throughout my career, I have worked on a variety of applied projects, including communication protocols for remote communities, drones for crop monitoring, robots for safety-critical operations, and more recently, underwater drone systems for real-time sensor data acquisition and visualization.

Over time, I have become increasingly interested in privacy, trust, and responsible technology. My current work explores how edge AI and robotics can be designed to give users more control over their data while maintaining performance and usability.

My goal is to develop technologies that are not only technically strong, but also useful, reliable, and meaningful in real-world applications.
